Fees Free Update for 2025
If you’re a first-time tertiary learner, you may be eligible to have your fees covered for one year of study or work-based training through the Fees Free scheme. The fees are paid directly to your tertiary provider, but to qualify, you’ll need to meet certain eligibility criteria and ensure your course or programme is eligible.
Please note that the current Fees Free structure will end at the end of 2024 and be replaced by the new Final Year Fees Free scheme.
To find out if you're eligible, you will need your National Student Number (NSN). This is a 9-digit number (if your number starts with a 0 and has more than 9 digits, remove the 0).
