Deputy Principal - Leadership and Growth (8MU + 1SMA)
We are excited to invite dynamic and inspirational educational leaders to apply for one of our Deputy Principal positions at Rosehill College. Roll growth and retirements have created opportunities for us to expand our team. We are seeking an educational leader who embodies our Rosehill College values of Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Hiihiritanga, and Rangatiratanga in 2025.
Ideally, the successful candidates will have senior leadership experience. They will share responsibility for shaping the future of education at Rosehill College. You will take an active role in supporting and empowering our ākonga and kaimahi to reach personal excellence. Alongside classroom teaching commitments, you will collaboratively contribute to the college’s strategic direction.
Our college leaders understand the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and will ensure te reo me ōna Tikanga are upheld. We expect relational practices to tautoko positive relationships within our kura. A commitment to mana ōrite mō te mātauranga māori and cultural responsiveness is essential. Rise to the challenge of leading real change and enable the success of ākonga by collaboratively engaging with kaimahi, whānau and our wider community.
We anticipate successful candidates will share our belief that everybody has seeds of brilliance and have a willingness to acknowledge, recognise, cultivate and grow those seeds. Expertise in the following areas is advantageous:
- Promoting Te Ao Māori across a kura
- Embedding inclusive practices for learning across a kura (including SENCO, GATE, etc.)
- Overseeing Student Leadership, mentorship and NZ Scholarship programmes
- Enhancing teacher wellbeing and support structures across the school
- Facilitating teacher professional growth and staff induction programmes
- Overseeing SCT and beginning teacher programmes
Successful candidates will negotiate responsibility for initiatives aligned with our strategic goals and priorities.
You will be required to provide three referee reports, one should be your current Principal. Here is the link to the referee report.
