From Rosehill to World Title Contention: Mariah Turner’s Rise in Professional Boxing
Former Rosehill College student Mariah Turner (Class of 2012) is making her mark on the international boxing stage, stepping into one of the biggest moments of her career later this month.
Now known in the professional ranks as “The Golden Girl”, Mariah has built an impressive record of 12 wins and 1 loss, including 6 knockouts, establishing herself as a serious contender in women’s boxing.
On Wednesday 29 April 2026, Mariah will headline a major event at the Melbourne Pavilion in Australia, facing Skye Nicolson for the WBC Interim World Super Bantamweight Title. The fight will be broadcast globally on DAZN and Fox Sports Australia, placing her on a truly international stage.

Born and raised in South Auckland, Mariah began her journey locally before taking her talents overseas. She now trains out of Fortitude Boxing in Queensland, surrounded by a high-performance environment that has helped elevate her career to world title contention.
Mariah’s story is one of discipline, resilience, and long-term commitment to her craft. From her time at Rosehill College to competing under the global spotlight, she represents what can be achieved through focus and belief in your goals.
We are proud to acknowledge Mariah’s achievements and look forward to following her journey as she continues to rise in the sport.
