International Students Experience Mau Rākau at Rosehill College
Our Korean international students recently had the opportunity to experience Mau Rākau, a traditional Māori martial art, alongside Matua Hemi at Rosehill College.
More than simply learning new skills, the session gave students a chance to connect with Aotearoa New Zealand's culture and traditions through movement, teamwork, and shared experiences. It was an engaging way to build confidence, develop an appreciation for te ao Māori, and create lasting memories during their time at Rosehill College.
We are grateful to Matua Hemi for sharing his knowledge and providing such a meaningful cultural experience for our international students.
