Rosehill Softball: Road to Redemption at NZ Secondary Schools Nationals
Rosehill College’s premier softball team is gearing up for the NZ Secondary Schools Softball Nationals, set to take place from 25–28 March at Fraser Park in Hutt Valley. With the tournament fast approaching, our girls are ready to make a statement and bring home the title.
Last year, our team was crowned Rosehill’s Sports Team of the Year after an outstanding season, culminating in a runner-up finish at nationals. In a hard-fought final against a stacked One Tree Hill side, the girls left everything on the field. However, controversy surrounded a pivotal moment in the game—an incorrect umpire call at third base that kept the opposition’s hopes alive. What should have been the third out instead allowed One Tree Hill to load the bases and ultimately score the game-winning run.
This year, redemption is the goal. With a mix of seasoned veterans and rising talents, Rosehill is determined to leave no doubt on the field.
The upcoming nationals will be a true test, but our girls have already proven they can compete with the best. They carry not only the spirit of the game but also the unwavering support of the Rosehill community.
Stay tuned for updates as the team takes on the best in the country. Let’s get behind them and show our Rosehill pride!
