Do you have a passion for Māori Language and its culture? Are you someone who is able to speak fluently, guide and teach in Te Reo Māori? We are looking for a Head of Faculty Māori to teach our Year 9 - 13 students, to work alongside and manage two other teachers within the department, and to run pōwhiri as required.
You are a teacher that has a strong grounding in NCEA Levels 1–3 with its associated requirements and the relevant clarifications of the standards for the academic success of our students. An ability to make connections with our local Hapū of Ngāti Tamaoho is also desired. There is an expectation that changes be implemented within the Māori Department next year to align with the National Curriculum Refresh.
