We are excited to invite dynamic and inspirational educational leaders to apply for one of our Deputy Principal positions at Rosehill College. Roll growth and retirements have created opportunities for us to expand our team. We’re seeking two educational leaders who embody our Rosehill College values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, hihiritanga, and rangatiratanga to join our team in 2024.
Ideally, the successful candidates will have senior leadership experience. They will share responsibility for shaping the future of education at Rosehill College. You will take an active role in supporting and empowering our ākonga and kaimahi to reach personal excellence. Alongside classroom teaching commitments, you will collaboratively contribute to the college’s strategic direction.
Our college leaders understand the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and will ensure te reo me ōna Tikanga are upheld. We expect relational practices to tautoko positive relationships within our kura. A commitment to mana ōrite mō te mātauranga māori and cultural responsiveness is essential. Rise to the challenge of leading real change and enable the success of ākonga by collaboratively engaging with kaimahi, whānau and our wider community.
We anticipate successful candidates will share our belief that everybody has seeds of brilliance and have a willingness to acknowledge, recognise, cultivate and grow those seeds. Expertise in any of the following areas is advantageous: timetabling, Principal’s nominee, oversight of strategic communication, or community consultation. Successful candidates will negotiate responsibility for initiatives aligned with our strategic goals and priorities.
You will be required to provide three referee reports, one should be your current Principal.

Head of Careers Education – 2MMA + Careers Advisor Allowance

We seek a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic leader of Careers Education to join our college.
The Head of Careers Education role is to improve the skill, knowledge and expertise of teachers in our college regarding careers education and to develop the careers and pathways programmes offered to ākonga so that they can transition into, within, and from Rosehill College successfully.
The Head Careers Education exercises responsibility for:
- leading the development, delivery and evaluation of the careers education curriculum;
- promoting quality teaching and learning, data gathering, monitoring and evaluation of careers education curriculum plans and initiatives;
- management of resources, budgets, and wider community engagement with the careers education area.
Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of both the New Zealand curriculum and a wide range of post-school pathways. E rapu ana maatou i teetahi Kaihautuu Maaori hei whakaako i aa maatou aakonga mai te Tau 9 ki te Tau 13. Ki te mahi tahi me te whakahaere i eetahi atu kaiako e rua, i roto i te tari Maaori. Kia whakahaere i ngaa poowhiri o te kura. He kaiako koe e matatau ana i ngaa Taumata Maatauranga aa-motu (NCEA) i Te Reo Maaori tae mai te reanga iwa ki te taumata tuatoru. Do you have a passion for Māori Language and its culture? Are you someone who is able to speak fluently, guide and teach in Te Reo Māori.
We are looking for a Head of Faculty Māori to teach our year 9 – 13 students. To work alongside and manage two other teachers within the department. To run pōwhiri as required. You are a teacher that has strong grounding in NCEA levels 1-3 with its associated requirements, and the relevant clarifications of the standards for the academic success of our students. An ability to be able to make connections with our local Hapū of Ngāti Tamaoho is also desired. There is an expectation that changes be implemented within the Māori Department next year to align with the National Curriculum Refresh.

We seek a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to aid our Learner Support department in a support capacity.
The successful candidate will have:
- flexibility to support our department and work with students on an as needs basis
- a genuine passion for working with students who have high learning needs
- the ability to work with teachers to help students achieve lesson objectives
- patience, reliability and empathy
- ability to work in a supportive team environment
