The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $56,757 to $95,400, (rates effective from 3 July 2023) depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

Digital Technology Teacher

Learner Support Teacher

We seek a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Learner Support to join our Learner Support department. Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum.

The successful candidate will have:

  • a genuine passion for teaching students who have high learning needs
  • creative in their use of literacy strategies (numeracy also an advantage)
  • experience with teaching Literacy and Numeracy at a Level 1 -4 of the Curriculum.

Visual Art Teacher

Kaihautū te Tari Māori 3 MU + 1 MMA

He ngaakau maahaki taau moo Te Reo Maaori me oona Tikanga? He tangata matatau koe ki te koorero, aarahi me whakaako i Te Reo Maaori.  E rapu ana maatou i teetahi Kaihautuu Maaori hei whakaako i aa maatou aakonga mai te Tau 9 ki te Tau 13. Ki te mahi tahi me te whakahaere i eetahi atu kaiako e rua, i roto i te tari Maaori. Kia whakahaere i ngaa poowhiri o te kura. He kaiako koe e matatau ana i ngaa Taumata Maatauranga aa-motu (NCEA) i Te Reo Maaori tae mai te reanga iwa ki te taumata tuatoru. Ko te tumanako, ka whakauu tonu te tuuranga nei ki te tuuhono atu ki te mana whenua, araa too maatou hapuu o Ngaati Tamaoho. Ko te tumanako, ka whakatinanahia ngaa whakarerekeetanga i roto i te tari Maaori a teeraa tau, kia haangai ki Te Maataiaho maatauranga. Mehemea kei a koe ngaa puukenga katoa, teenaa tono mai.

Do you have a passion for Māori Language and its culture? Are you someone who is able to speak fluently, guide and teach in Te Reo Māori. 

We are looking for a Head of Faculty Māori to teach our year 9 – 13 students. To work alongside and manage two other teachers within the department. To run pōwhiri as required. You are a teacher that has strong grounding in NCEA levels 1-3 with its associated requirements, and the relevant clarifications of the standards for the academic success of our students. An ability to be able to make connections with our local Hapū of Ngāti Tamaoho is also desired. There is an expectation that changes be implemented within the Māori Department next year to align with the National Curriculum Refresh.

Enrolment and Administration Officer

The role of the Enrolment and Administration Officer is to support the SLT and ensure our ākonga and community are positively welcomed, and they experience a safe, caring, and supportive learning environment across the College. Ensuring enrolments queries and applications are processed and answered in a timely manner as directed by the Principal’s P.A.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Support the SLT
  2. Support the Front Office in all front-line duties
  3. Ensure enrolments are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  4. Support the College in maintaining the school website
  5. Support the Director of IT and the IT Department
