We seek a keen and enthusiastic Visual Art teacher to join our high performing team. Applicants should be confident in both junior art/design and senior level visual arts and keen to embrace future-focused learning. Strength in senior photography preferable but not essential. Please state senior discipline strengths.
Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum. The successful applicant will have:
- proven classroom management skills and ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all ākonga
- a commitment to the progress of all ākonga
- ability to work collaboratively to raise student achievement
- will whakamana the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ensure te reo me ōna Tikanga is upheld
- be adaptable with a willingness to explore differentiated teaching and learning approaches
- commitment to relational pedagogy and restorative practices
A commitment to mana ōrite mō te Mātauranga Māori, and cultural responsiveness is also essential.
